I'm rating the GillyGro Large Vertical Backpack Organizer 5 stars for its quality materials and construction, insulated pockets, waterproof pocket, and effortless organization.
There are times when having a bag or a backpack with one big compartment is great. But other times, having pockets to keep things organized really helps with organization and finding things quickly. This organizer allows for adding pockets and organization to any bag when I need them and removing them when I don't.
I really like that it has some insulated pockets to help keep a couple beverages hot or cold. I also like the waterproof pocket in case you need to store something damp without getting the rest of the contents wet too. But my favorite feature is how easy it is to take the entire organizer out of the bag and lay it flat on a table giving a full view and easy access to all the contents. I often pull it out when I get to work and lay it on a side table near my desk. Then as I need items throughout the day I can just grab them, use them, and put them back when I'm done. Then, at the end of the day, I just pick up the organizer by the two handles and drop it back in my backpack.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to add organization to an existing backpack.

The GillyGro Large Vertical Backpack Organizer Insert is definitely the best backpack organizer I've ever used. The quality of the materials is excellent, the construction is exceptional (not a single issue anywhere), and it's attractive. I would have preferred a more natural fabric, cotton canvas perhaps, but the feel of the material is nice and it's easy to keep clean with just a damp cloth. There's no smell, so little or no toxic residue; I'm shocked by how many things I order these days have noxious, toxic odors. None here!
It's large (measure your tote, backpack, suitcase or..., before ordering) and has a large number of different sizes of pockets and pouches, one insulated, one waterproof, and straps inside for water bottles (I haven't used that function yet). I used it for holding makeup, brushes and toiletries, underwear, small electronics and clothing items when traveling, and it was so easy to hang up and still be able to access what I needed. When hanging, some of the pockets open upside-down, so packing with that in mind helps. The handles on both ends can be used to hang the organizer up, so you actually can access everything if you don't mind reversing the bag to get to the pockets that are upside-down.
It fit perfectly in my travel backpack, and, though it did take up a lot of space, it was so nice to be able to find what I wanted without rooting around or having to empty everything out of the backpack. Laid out on the bed, it's very easy to take everything out quickly for storage. I always let it air out in between trips so there's little chance of any unwanted growth on the fabric.
I'm very happy with this; so nice not to be disappointed with a product but to find it's even better than I'd hoped for!
Oh, boy, do I sound picky!! I dislike having a bag without enough pockets, because small items can get lost in a backpack’s cavernous space. I dislike bags with too many small pockets because I forget which pockets stores which items. So why have this bag insert? I like that it is removable during those times I need a bigger interior space, or can have multiple pockets when needed. My favorite use for this, though, is for air travel. I like to keep a few items with me at my seat, such as my Kindle, neck pillow, ear plugs, eye mask, mints, phone, headphones, charge cables, etc. However, I do not like giving up my legroom to store my full bag at my feet. This is the perfect solution! I can store all of these items in this bag and can remove it from my big bag once I’m at my seat. The big bag goes into the overhead bin, the small insert stays with me at my seat. Perfect!!
Is it only useful during air travel? Nope! Once we arrive at our destination, I’m the one who typically packs all the extra “stuff”, and my husband is frequently having to ask me to retrieve items. I plan to repack this once we’re in our hotel room or ship’s cabin. It will then hold our favorite mints, multiple charge cords, commonly needed meds, such as antacids, handwashing detergent packets, stain release, sun block, scissors, snacks and lots more. I’ll be calling this our “Mini Market”, and we can simply fold it up to keep our room neat when not needed. He won’t have to ask me for each of these items, he’ll know exactly where to find them!
This is one of two sizes offered, the smaller one, but it is plenty big for my needs. It has a variety of pockets on the inside and outside for small items. It forms a tall U-shape so the inside of the U can store a rain jacket or sweater. If I were to use this in a huge bag, I could even place my camera into the middle of this that would provide some extra protection and it would not alter the shape or damage this bag liner at all.
This is well made and feels like it will hold up for years of hard use. It has a variety of larger and smaller pockets, even a water resistant zippered pocket on the outside. I can’t wait to load up our Mini Market! Five Stars!!
